1 Peter 3:1 devotional, daily devotional, devotionals, free email devotional, Love Letters from God, prayer card

Wives, be submissive to your husband [subordinate, not as inferior, but out of respect] so that even if some [husbands] do not obey the word [of God], they may be won over [to Christ] without discussion by the godly lives of their wives.

- 1 Peter 3:1

Let’s replay that last part, “that your husband may be changed/won over to Christ without discussion.

Do you obey God or follow the chatter in your head?

“Maybe if I say it again, maybe if I say it this way, maybe if the therapist says it, maybe, maybe, maybe.”

Trying to “enlighten” your spouse results in them avoiding the topic, and you!

God can “say it” so it gets “heard.”

Stop fighting and start praying!

You may not trust your spouse in certain areas, but you can always trust God.

TODAY: When my flesh says, “If I say it one more time he’ll get it.” I Will Resist!

And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left. Isaiah 30:21

With Love,
Paper Sunday

This was right on time! I was just about to head down to the kitchen to give my husband some unsolicited advice. Then I quickly remembered this devotional. Stop fighting and start praying!! That’s wisdom.

Stop fighting and starting praying! Powerful statement right there!
My husband is not a believer but he dose say to me that he sees Christ in me and let me tell you that, that is the power of prayer!
