I am the one who comforts you. Who are you that you should fear humans who die, or a son of man who is given up like grass?

- Isaiah 51:12

Take a moment to think of all the times the Lord comforted you.

One of His very names is “comforter!”

He is our constant companion and the ultimate source of comfort.

Nobody understands us the way He does.

When anxiety builds up, when insecurity creeps in, when sorrow strikes, when fears seem to loom over our heads, we can always run to our Heavenly Father who is waiting with open arms!

The comforting presence of your Heavenly Father is like no other. You can pour out your heart to Him, tell Him your troubles, and your questions. Sitting in His presence allows His love and peace to fill your being, rejuvenating your spirit with joy!

With the comfort you receive from the Lord, His joy and peace will be flowing out of you into other people’s lives around you, bringing comfort to them just as the Lord comforted you:

“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.” – 2 Corinthians 1:3-4

By making God our first love and first one to run to for comfort, we become contagious sources of His joy and peace for everyone around us!

Today, how can you be a comfort and source of joy to others around you?

If you yourself are in need of comfort, don’t hesitate for a moment longer to run to your Heavenly Father. He is waiting for you with open arms!

With Love,
Paper Sunday
