You also must be patient. Keep your hopes high, for the day of the Lord’s coming is near.
- James 5:8
Being patient isn’t always easy.
We live in a world of fast-paced hustle culture that demands things on the fly and gets upset at the slightest inconvenience.
While there is nothing wrong with being productive, the Lord did not call us to live in a hasty mindset.
Getting tangled up in the chaos and stress of the frenzied world will only make us dull to His presence in our lives. When we allow ourselves to slow down and let the dust settle, we realize God has been with us and lovingly gazing at us the whole time, waiting for us to gaze right back.
"Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer." (Romans 12:12)
Mastering patience is a lifetime journey, but it helps when we know God is with us throughout the whole process. You can rejoice in His hope, knowing He will return someday and take you with Him to be with forever. All the worries, stress, and problems of this life will no longer mean anything.
Until then, we can glorify Him on this earth and fellowship with Him in constant hope-filled prayer, trusting in Him to fulfill His promises.
