Press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called you heavenward in Christ Jesus.
- Philippians 3:14
Keep going even when it is difficult and it all seems uphill.
You may be thinking, “How do I keep going when it seems my life is falling apart?”
Or maybe you are so overwhelmed with problems and burdens that each day feels like you are seconds from buckling under the pressure.
It might even feel like a chore to take the next breath. God is with you. He is with you right now, and He will sustain you.
- He calls you to deep rest and comfort in Him.
- He provides joy amid suffering and pain.
- He offers quiet and strength in weakness and difficulty.
- He loves you so much that He desires you fall into His loving arms of protection and safety.
He knows we all burn out. Life is full of seasons. Some are fuller, more demanding. Others are quieter and can even feel lonely.
However, God calls us to a steady and trained pace with Him.
Walking daily with Him helps us build trust in God when we don’t see the outcome yet. We can believe that we will make it because we know that at the end of our lives, we will be with Him for eternity.
As we press on through the pain, through the rocky and rugged terrain, we get closer to our finish line. But that doesn’t mean that we are through or should quit or give up.
God has a purpose for our lives. Each day is a gift of life to us to serve and love Him.
Prayer: Jesus, be with me today. Help me through the difficult days. Give me hope and perseverance to keep going, especially when it’s painful and challenging. Amen.
