That you may love the Lord your God, that you may obey His voice, and that you may cling to Him, for He is your life and the length of your days.

- Deuteronomy 30:20

During our time on Earth, the Lord is our lifeline.

He is the only person who is always available and always willing to come to our aid when we call for Him. He is the only one who will stay with us forever and never leave us nor forsake us.

If you’ve ever been let down by people whom you needed and depended on during a tough time, then you know the pain of feeling unstable and insecure.

With God, we never have to worry about being abandoned or cast aside during difficult times.

Unlike humans, the Lord is perfect and unchanging in His character and ways. He won’t love you one day and abandon you the next.

Because He created us as dependent beings, He wants us to rely on Him. When we don’t, it’s easy to start relying on things of the world…but that can lead to addictions and forms of idolatry.

For I am the Lord, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you. (Isaiah 41: 13)

Since He is our very life, choosing to follow and obey His voice is the wisest decision we could ever make. You don’t ever have to be afraid that God won’t help you. He is the most reliable person you will ever meet!

Today: Trust in His love and cling to His hand. He will never let you go.

With Love,

Paper Sunday
