He said to them, “Take to heart all the words by which I am warning you today, that you may command them to your children, that they may be careful to do all the words of this law.”
- Deuteronomy 32:46
God’s Word is not to be taken lightly.
He gives it to us so that we may have instructions for a fruitful, peaceful life.
That is not to say that we won’t have difficulties; however, the closer we walk with Christ, the easier those difficulties are to navigate.
God’s Word keeps us on the path of righteousness.
As we abide by it, God sustains us. When life becomes wrought with uncertainties and struggles, God is ready to speak to us through His Word.
Because His Word is life, we cannot spend time in it and come away unchanged. As we meditate on and study it, it breathes life into our tired souls. It gives hope to our downcast hearts and strengthens us when we are weak.
We can trust it. It gives us what we need to do well in this life.
We can cling to the promises inside and speak them out loud. The more we lean on God’s Word, the more we experience His peace, gaining victory over difficulties and pain.
Prayer: Dear Jesus, please help me to trust you today. Keep me close to you, and be near to me. Amen.
With Love,
Sherry Shepherd
