You have searched me, Lord, and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar.

Rejoice in the nearness and intimacy of this verse today. ​

Some grow numb to this truth and feel as though God has forgotten them or never knew them at all.

Even though we may not physically feel God with us every single moment, we cannot live controlled only by our feelings and what we see in the natural realm.

The truth is, God knows everything about you! He knows the number of hairs on your head, your likes and dislikes.

He knows when you lay down to go to sleep and what time you wake up in the morning. He knows your dreams and passions.

He knows your thoughts before they enter your mind and He knows your words before they exit your mouth.

He perceives every motive and movement of your heart and soul.

He has completely and utterly memorized you.

Why? Because He cares deeply for you. Because He loves you.

Just as He longs to know us intimately, He longs for us to know HIM intimately in return.

If you’ve felt like God has been far away lately, then be encouraged today. He wants you to know how dear you are to Him, and that His love for you runs deeper and stronger than any human emotion. He has your name engraved on the palm of His hand, and He promises to never let you go!

“Lord, how you know me! Even when I cannot feel you near, help me to know you are there. I long to know you intimately as you know me intimately. Your love is all I need!”
