I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful…
- Psalm 139:14
The power to dream is God-given in every human being.
We especially see this in the lives of children.
It is truly amazing to watch a child imagine the impossible. It is also inspiring to see their eyes sparkle as they dream of being a doctor, fireman, or teacher. Others dream of being a professional athlete, missionary, or superhero.
Why does this come so naturally to a young child, and why does it often disappear after adolescence?
The first discovery of your God-given dream is to know that a loving God created you for a unique purpose.
Oh yes, you shaped me first inside, then out; you formed me in my mother's womb. I thank you, High God—you're breathtaking! Body and soul, I am marvelously made. I worship in adoration—what a creation! You know me inside and out; you know every bone in my body; You know exactly how I was made, bit by bit, how I was sculpted from nothing into something. Like an open book, you watched me grow from conception to birth; all the stages of my life were spread out before you; the days of my life all prepared before I'd even lived one day. (Psalm 139:13-16, Message Bible)
So, the first step in finding your dream is to know that a loving, caring, heavenly Father created you.
This means that you are YOU – nique!
Discovering your uniqueness and fulfilling your purpose is the most rewarding life possible.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank you for showing me my purpose and why you created me. I desire to follow you fully and devote my life to the Kingdom of God and your distinct purpose for my life.
Blessings,
Thomas
