Each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned.
- Romans 12:3
Not everyone is given equal gifts.
In a world that holds equality of opportunity and equality of outcome above everything else, it is unheard of to trust a God that does not prioritize either.
Yet, as believers, we must trust God.
Not everyone has 10 talent faith, gifts, and abilities.
Honestly, I've met very few 10 talent individuals.
If you're lucky, you might be a 7 or 8 talent cat.
Most of us, I believe, are 2, 3, and 4 talent people.
Why? Because that's what God decided.
Not all of us will have the same opportunities, nor will we all have the same outcomes. Not everyone is given equal faith— some have more than others.
And though you don't control what God gives you, you do control your response to God.
God has graciously gifted each one of us.
Some more than others, but gifted each one nonetheless.
Your attitude will determine how well you use your gifts, and your motivation will determine how much you're willing to do.
What is your attitude like today? Are you thankful? How is your motivation? Are you willing to maximize all that He is doing in your life?
My guess is, for too long now, you've set on the sidelines envying other's gifts.
Complaining about your lack of gifts. Resentful that God didn't “make you, like that.”
My charge to you— change your attitude. Get motivated. God has gifted you. Use all that He has given you for His glory!
Your prayer today, “God, give me the grace and strength to use all that you've given me for your glory.”
