But thanks be to God! He gives you the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

- 1 Corinthians 15:57

Can you remember the last time you did something you know you shouldn’t have done?

Did you feel your stomach twist? Did you get nervous?

Maybe you told a little white lie, or didn’t give back the extra money the cashier mistakenly gave you.

Maybe you felt envious of your best friend, or flirted with someone other than your spouse.

Maybe it was something much bigger. No matter what the sin, God tells us that when we come to Him for forgiveness, He cleanses us. Completely.

Because of Jesus’ death on the cross and resurrection, the battle over sin has been won.

We are no longer condemned to death and eternal separation from Christ.

Jesus has overcome death.

Because of His great sacrifice, we can have power over temptation and sin.

Do you need forgiveness today?

Do you need victory today?

You can approach God with anything and He lovingly has his arms open to you ready to forgive and move you closer to feeling victorious!

With Love,

Journal & Reflect

Reflection: This verse reframes how we see life’s struggles. Instead of constantly trying to win, prove, or overcome in our own strength, we’re invited to live from a place of already-secured victory. That doesn’t mean challenges disappear—but it does mean they no longer define the outcome. When you begin to see yourself as someone who already has victory through Jesus, your mindset shifts from fear to confidence.

Questions to Journal:

• Where do I feel pressure to “win” or prove myself right now?

• How would my mindset change if I believed victory is already secure?

• What am I striving to control that I need to release?

• Where have I been living from fear instead of confidence?

• What truth from this verse do I need to remind myself of daily?
