What are you waiting for God to answer today?

Did you know that when Daniel prayed to God, he actually prayed for mercy instead of help?

That’s because he knew that his nation deserved God’s wrath and punishment. So as he cried out to God on behalf of his people, he petitioned God for His compassion.

When was the last time you cried out to God on behalf of someone else? What concerns and prayer requests have you brought to God over the previous weeks or months that have gone unanswered?

It would be understandable if God refused to help us because of our sins because we don’t deserve His grace or mercy as sinners. And yet, He still hears our cries for help, and He answers them in His great love and compassion.

Sometimes, His answer doesn’t come right away. Or it could even be a no.

However, God hears, sees, and knows our every request. As we await His answer, we can be encouraged by Daniel’s example.

We can thank God that He gives us His grace instead of His wrath! Instead of death, we receive life!

Whatever your request is today, turn to God and rest in Him. He loves you and sees every possible outcome working all things for your good.

Prayer: Dear Jesus, help me as I await your answers today. Give me peace and strengthen my faith in you. Amen.

With Love,
Sherry Shepherd
