You shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free.
- John 8:32
Have you ever questioned how much you mean to God? At times, I do.
I have this negative soundtrack in my head that tells me, “You can’t do this, or you’re not qualified for that. It works for other people, but not for you.”
I know the truth. But I fail to apply it to my life.
The Bible tells me:
- I am holy and dearly loved. Colossians 3:12
- I am equipped for every good work. Hebrews 13:21
- I am blessed with every spiritual blessing in Christ. Ephesians 1:3.
And these are just a few things God tells me in His Word.
The problem occurs when I insert negativity or wrong thinking into my day. I have to remind myself of what the Scriptures tell me.
That means I must meditate on what is right and true rather than my own understanding.
But beyond that, I must believe, trust, and accept it into my being.
Because when we take what is fact and turn it into belief, it moves from our heads to our hearts and transforms our lives.
Today is there a truth you know but struggle to believe? Ask the Lord to help you and change your thinking into believing!
Prayer: Thank you, Lord, for your incredible love toward me. Help me actually to believe who you say I am. Please help me to trust you in and for my life entirely. Amen.
With Love,
Sherry Shepherd
