Give generously to him and do so without a grudging heart; then because of this the Lord your God will bless you, in all your work and everything you put your hand to.
- Deuteronomy 15:10
Are you more focused on helping others or do you tend to spend more time on your own comfort and well-being?
It is often easier to think of ourselves first when it comes to finances. Finances can be stressful and we tend to try to hold on tightly to what we have.
However, God asks us to give what He has blessed us with, and to do so joyfully.
As we give generously, we are to do so without complaining.
How many times have you volunteered to help someone, only to gripe about it later on?
Jesus tells us that it is better to give than to receive. (Acts 20:35). Why is that?Because when we give, we are reflecting God and His attributes. He is a generous God, who has given us so much.
Our response should be to positively react to what He has done for us, by doing for others!
Ask God who you might be able to bless financially today.
