For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor; no good thing will He withhold from you when your walk is centered in Him.

Who is the first person you go too when you have something to share?

The closer you are to someone, the more you know about them. You know their likes and dislikes, wants and needs.

But did you know that God doesn’t have to get to know us?

He already knows everything about us. In fact, He knows the very number of hairs on our heads. (Luke 12:7)

However, His desire is that we get to know Him. The more we get to know Him, the more our desires align to His.

When we put our eyes on Him and the things which are of value to Him, then our hearts change, centering our walk, and straightening our path.

As our hearts become more and more like His, our focus becomes what is important to Him, replacing the old self and habits with Christ-centered ones.

God desires to give us good gifts, and while sometimes they are tangible, other times they are related to our spirits.

Today, as you turn your eyes to Jesus, thank Him for knowing what is best for you, and for giving you good things.
