Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.

- I Peter 5:7

Have you ever felt the waves of panic rising as you faced a decision, task, or some difficulty in your life?

It can feel overwhelming, even fearful at times.

However, if you stood on the beach and watched the waves roll in with steadiness, you may notice that while they lap at your feet, they cannot knock you down.

It is only when we venture past the safety of the shoreline into the waves that we are shaken and tossed.

Life is very much like the ocean.

While we don’t know what the waves will bring in, we do know that we have the stability of the Lord to hold us steady.

He is our safety, our comforter, our assurance!

He will keep us stable when trials roll into our lives. He will protect us as we cling tightly to the shore of His direction and love.

Today, what is God asking you to trust Him to provide? Do you need His strength or direction? Do you desire His peace and comfort? Then, all you have to do is rely on Him because He cares deeply for you.

Prayer: Dear Jesus, be my steady shore. Hold me tight as the waves crash up upon me. Fill me with your peace and love today. Amen.

With Love,
Sherry Shepherd

Thank you for this devotional. Your comparison to the ocean and its waves had such a calming feeling and yes, His peace.
