I will not forget you! See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands…

- Isaiah 49:15-16 (NIV)

To God, you are a cherished treasure who has been bought with the blood of Christ.

And that is why He has engraved you on the palms of His hands.

Often when things are engraved, it is for a significant meaning and purpose.

Metals such as gold and silver are usually the mediums used to sustain the engraving.

However, like many elements, metals are not immune to the effects of time. As metals age and fade, so do the words that have been engraved.

Since you have been engraved on the palms of the Lord, you never have to worry that it will fade away. You are always visible to Him, and therefore you are always on His mind.

Have you ever written something down on the palm of your hand? Whether it was something to motivate you, a list of chores, or just a reminder, you did it because it was important to you!

Well, the Lord did the same thing with you in mind, except it wasn’t with a mere pen, but an engraved, eternal symbol of His love for you and the sacrifice He made.

“Heavenly Father, your vast love is incomprehensible! To engrave me upon the palms of your hands speaks volumes of your love for me. As I am your treasure, so are you my own treasure! I love you. Amen.”

With Love,
Sarah Sherstad
