Yet if you devote your heart to him and stretch out your hands to him, then you will lift up your face without shame; you will stand firm and without fear.  - Job 11:13,15

Yet if you devote your heart to him and stretch out your hands to him, then you will lift up your face without shame; you will stand firm and without fear.

- Job 11:13,15

Have you ever been wrongly accused of something or had your character misjudged?

If so, you may have felt like Job. Job was going through great difficulties.

He thought because he was suffering, that God was out to get him.

But it was just the opposite.

When Satan asked for an example of a human who loved God, God named Job.

However, Satan mocked God and said Job was faithful only because he had everything he could ever want. So, God allowed Satan to attack Job to prove Job’s faithfulness.

Amid the trials, Job’s character is attacked by his friends. They tell him that he must have had great sin in his life to be suffering so greatly. Talk about being kicked when you’re down! Zophar, Job’s friend, was the kind of person who had an answer for everything. He was utterly insensitive to Job’s suffering and pain. He even accused Job of hiding secret sin.

However, that was just not the case, and, in the end, God restored all that Job had lost.

Today, whatever hardships you are suffering, there is hope! God sees your heart. He knows your intentions. Lift your face to Him and stretch your hands to Him in surrender. He has you. He will keep you standing firm and without fear.

Prayer: Dear Lord, please be with me. Comfort me and give me peace in this storm. Please help me to look to you with complete trust. Amen.

With Love,
Sherry Shepherd

Hello, I feel for Job. I have been going through a lot of pain and trials for the past few years, and I think that it is because the Lord wanted me to grow in faith and learn to lean on Him! I even had a boyfriend of 17+ years leave me and marry another woman. I am still getting over this betrayal, and I need to remember that God and Jesus has not, or will not ever leave me!
