Spending quality time with the Lord is vital to knowing the voice of your shepherd.
The closer you are to the Lord, the clearer His voice becomes!
Being with God in His word and spending time in prayer consistently, the more you will come to know who He is and what His voice sounds like.
Today, be encouraged to know The Good Shepherd longs for you to hear His voice as He watches over you and guides you in your path. He longs to spend time with you more than you realize!
Prayer: Lord, I desire to hear your voice. Help me to be more sensitive to you, Holy Spirit. Stir in me a hunger to spend more time with you and sit in your presence.

One of the things I appreciate most about John 10:27 is the reminder that our relationship with Jesus is personal. He doesn't simply give instructions from a distance—He knows us, loves us, and leads us as a Shepherd cares for His sheep.
There have been seasons when I've desperately wanted clear direction, and I've learned that hearing God's voice often begins with simply spending time in His presence. The more familiar we become with His Word and His character, the easier it is to recognize His guidance.
