Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant seeking beautiful pearls, who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had and bought it.

You are the precious pearl found by Jesus.

He shed His own sacred blood for you, because to Him you were worth it! (See also Hebrews 12:2)

On the other hand, would you give up everything, even your own life, for God?

His unfailing love is better than anything this world has to offer. His love is worth more than your dreams, talents, and life itself.

His love and who He is are also just like that precious pearl. His love is so valuable, it is worth losing everything to obtain it forever! For apart from Him, there is nothing.

Through gaining Him and losing your life, you will find and enrich your life!

Choosing to surrender your life in exchange for Him helps you grow into the person He designed you to be. Having a revelation of how wide, how long and deep His love is for you will enable you to understand how valuable He truly is.

When you come to a place of rich and deep intimacy with Him, He becomes everything to you! And just like the merchant, you won’t hesitate to give up everything you have so that you can receive the greatest treasure of all.

Today, think about how Jesus views you as that precious pearl and how He gave up His very life to have you for Himself, His beloved chosen one.

Would you do the same for Him?

Prayer: Lord, how great is your love! Help me to have a revelation of your love and the value it truly holds. May I hold back nothing when it comes to pursuing you. Just as you did for me, Jesus, in giving up everything, I want to do for you too. Amen.
