You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden.

I remember driving up the hill to my college campus.

It could be seen from down the street. As we drove up and onto campus for the first time, I knew in my heart that it was where God wanted me. I felt at home.

I had visited many other universities, yet when I got to this campus, I just knew it was right.

Likewise, God calls us to be like that—a city on a hill, reflecting His light for all to see.

In doing so, people will be drawn to His light, sensing something different in us. It is almost like a homecoming!

They will feel His love through us and desire to know Him.

But to do so, we must surrender to God’s will, being willing to be open to His plan and what He brings into our lives each day.

What is most remarkable about following God’s plan is that we will bring glory to His name and blessings to our lives. So how do we ensure that we are in God’s will? By staying connected to Him and His Word each day.

Prayer: Thank you, Lord, for being with me today. Please help me to be a light for others to see you. Thank you for giving my life purpose! Amen.
