Daily Devotional • Nahum 1:7

The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in him.  - Nahum 1:7

The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in Him.

- Nahum 1:7

This past summer, I was gone for a few days. When I returned, several of my plants were wilting due to the heat and lack of water.

However, what struck me was they were still facing towards the sun, drawn inexplicably to it.

However, the moment I watered them, they all perked up, and the leaves uncurled and spread out beautifully.

It made me think of how as believers, we are like those plants. So often, when we are in the heat of the battle, we become hardened under the pressure.

We may even want to curl up and wither away. However, if we spend time in God’s Word and prayer, we gain the nutrients we need to withstand the trial and grow beautifully.

Today: Just as the flowers turn towards the sun, it is important we turn toward the Lord of light through daily time with Him.

With Love,

Paper Sunday

Dear Lord in my search for a job at the final stage accept me to Trust in your word that; Psalm 18:2 (NLT): “The LORD is my rock, my fortress, and my saviour; my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety”. please my father this coming week I ask you to grant me victory to be appointed for the job by Gods grace. Help me to emerge the best to the employers with God’s report in Jesus Christ’s name Amen. Also, I believe that I am chosen. I am a member of the royal priesthood and a member of a Holy Nation, God’s very own possession. I show others the Goodness of God because He has called me out of darkness and into His marvellous light (1 Peter 2:9). Help, lord, this week to receive my Job Offer and appointment in Jesus’ name, amen
