- Philippians 2:11

If you want to become a great leader, spouse, parent, or friend, what should you do?

Does it require perfectionism?

Do you need money and fame?

If we follow the world’s formula we will always be striving to do more and be more because there will always be those who supersede us.

But if we truly want to become great among men, then we should model humility like Christ.

Like so many things in the Bible, it may seem counter intuitive, but to be great, we must be humble.

When God sent Jesus to become a man, it required great humility on Christ’s part.

He was fully God, and fully man. He consistently served others, humbling himself even more.

Like Christ, we are to be humble in our actions, thoughts and attitudes.

Just think about that truth...

Jesus, who is unique, highly exalted and Lord of all, came to earth and humbled himself as a man, while still fully being God.

One day, every knee will bow in honor and praise of Him.

What better example to follow?

TODAY: Ask God which areas of your life you need to humble yourself to be a better leader, spouse, family member, parent, friend or co-worker.

With Love,
Kara Heckel
