When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with the humble is wisdom.

- Proverbs 11:2 ESV

Wisdom is the result of a humble spirit.

When you have a posture of humility you will never contend with anyone else. Humility is protection.

Protection preserves your life from your enemies.

Pride makes God your enemy. Pride brings unnecessary enemies into your life.

Pride goes before the fall.

But when his heart was lifted up, and his spirit was hardened in pride, he was deposed from his kingly throne, and they took his glory from him.
Daniel 5:20

Having pride removes God’s glory. Learn to walk in humility. In doing so, wisdom is your inheritance!

You find humility by submitting to God’s word. Submitting to Jesus because he loved you first. You willingly submit and humble yourself before him, because of that love.

Father,
Remove pride from me, be in known or unknown. I humble myself in submission to your word. Guide me Lord that I might not stumble.
