Have you ever stood inside during a heavy downpour, staring out at the wind whipping around your home, the rain coming down in sheets, and yet inside, you are safe and sound?  

God is our refuge when we are afraid.  

He is our shelter from the storm.  

When the storms of life toss us and trials and difficulties rain down on us, we can rest in Christ.  

As the winds of frustration and fear swirl about us, we stand protected in Jesus.  

He promises that because we love Him, He will rescue and protect us.  

All we have to do is love Him and acknowledge His name.  

That doesn’t mean that everything we desire will always go how we want it to. We do not have the understanding and knowledge of the Lord.  

However, his plans and how He accomplishes them are always for our good. Because God is loving and always at work, we can trust Him even when we don’t understand Him.   

Today, can you trade your fears for faith in Christ?
