All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is by his great mercy that we have been born again because God raised Jesus Christ from the dead. Now we live with great expectations.
- 1 Peter 1:3 NLT
What a proclamation!
1 Peter is a book of practical principles. A powerful passage set forth as a precedent to the principles of Godly living. We are reminded that all glory, honor, and praise belong to God for who He is and for what He has done.
And it was and continues to be through his mercy and grace that we have been given an opportunity to live a life of deliverance and expectation! There is a new hope!
God inhabits the praises of his children. When we praise God, we are raising a declaration of our faith and trust in him and his power. It’s an expression of our acknowledgement and gratitude for His ultimate sacrifice of love and mercy.
Praise is an act of surrender to His will and purpose for our lives. Praise opens the door of our hearts inviting the Holy Spirit to intercede on our behalf. Praise is our voice of victory.
So let us put on the garment of praise and lift our voices to the heavens! Proclaiming the love of God with all our hearts and with all our soul and with all our strength.
Father God,
Hear the song of my heart! I thank you because by your mercy, you have shown such compassion and forgiveness towards me in spite of my frailties and faults. You’re a good father who has laid his life down to save me and your loving kindness follows me in all my days. May I substitute petition for praise and worry for worship. Oh Lord, I will be confident that you are doing a new thing in me and I will trust in your promise that you will surely be gracious to the sound of my cries and songs of my heart. In your mighty name Jesus, I sing Amen!
With Love,
