Then he said to me, “Speak a prophetic message to these bones and say, “Dry bones, listen to the word of the Lord! This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Look! I am going to put breath into you and make you live again!
- Ezekiel 37:4-5 NLT
Have you been in a place of desolation where the light, if any, can barely be seen beyond the mountains?
Trapped in a valley where there isn’t enough strength to crawl your way out?
Where storms rage with brief intervals of reprieve and when the Goliaths standing before you were some of the very ones that rose from within.
We cry out to God with faint hope knowing that we don’t have the fortitude to survive on our own. We need life support.
When we think of someone on life support, we imagine those machines used when a person’s life has reached a critical state. Some life support systems are best known for being conduits of ventilated air so the person can breathe; while others serve as conduits of purified blood so the person can live.
As Christians, the Holy Spirit acts as that conduit, an unchanging, unwavering connection between us and God, who gives us His power, authority, anointing and His purpose for our lives.
The Holy Spirit keeps us connected to our life source. The One who shed His blood for us.
The One who IS the air we breathe. In Him we have redemption, deliverance, forgiveness, sanctification, hope, healing and new life.
My friend, in this passage, God is declaring His promise to you and reassuring you of who He IS. He is your life support. In Him you will live again!
Lord,
You knew how life would shape me and yet you promised that You would rescue me and not forsake me. That I was carefully constructed with a purpose and a plan not for evil, harm or destruction but to give me hope, peace and a future. I feel the fire of my faith nearly extinguished, and the dreams that once lit my heart have hidden themselves, but by your Promises, I have to trust and believe that you are doing a new thing in me and it will spring forth. I ask Lord that you pour your Grace upon me so that I may have patience in the waiting. And in the waiting I will seek you. In the waiting I will praise you and in the waiting I will speak your Word and prophesy “dry bones live again”!
Amen
With Love,
Jasmine
