Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.

- 2 Corinthians 1:3-4

You can comfort others with the same comfort that has been given to you by God.

No matter the hard circumstances, God promises to be our comforter. His presence and constant watch-care is enough to sustain us.

When we endure hardship, many times there is a purpose behind it.

While it is never pleasant, suffering helps build our maturity and refine our character.

We gain wisdom by enduring the trials of life, which we can pass on to others who cross our paths.

Knowing this, be encouraged that the pain we go through down is never in vain. God loves to turn things the enemy meant for evil, into good!

When you come out on the other side of tribulation, like gold tried by fire, you are refined and glowing!

You will find yourself with more compassion for those who are going through the same trials you already endured. The same comfort and wisdom you have received from the Lord will spill out of you from the overflow, pouring into the lives of those who need it!

As you go through the days of life, think about how you can bring comfort to others around you. As children of God, we can have peace through the discipline of hardship and the fruit that is being produced in us. God loves to give us beauty for ashes!

With Love,
Paper Sunday

We are enduring unspeakable suffering right now as a family member has been falsely accused of murder and is facing a horrible future if God does not intervene with a miracle. We are all Believers and it is a struggle to hold on when our prayers go unanswered. There is no obvious good in this situation at all. Still, even though my questions are many and I admit I have felt anger towards God, I hold onto my trust in Him, though sometimes it’s only by a thread. Please lift our circumstance in your prayers. Our family member needs favor. The truth needs to be brought to light. This is devastating beyond anything we’ve experienced ever. God’s Word stands true, but my human self just can’t grasp it.
