Because judgment without mercy will be shown to anyone who has not been merciful. Mercy triumphs over judgment.
- James 2:13
How do we live wholly dependent on God?
First, it is through daily reliance on God’s grace and mercy.
It is by remembering that grace is not a one-time gift. We are given it each day.
For example, Grace is the gift of life each day. It is the opportunity and chance to start over, make amends, and begin again. It is the hope of a future, of things unseen.
It is the joy of knowing the forgiveness of sin and the freedom of salvation.
Even though we as sinners don’t deserve God’s goodness, much less His forgiveness, He freely gives it to us! All we have to do is accept it!
Grace is the most important concept taught in the Bible. The Scriptures are filled with verses about God’s grace. Because of His amazing, unchangeable character, God wants the best for us and our lives.
God’s grace is unearned and unmerited. So, how much more then should we trust Him to help us forgive and extend grace to others? Through Him, all things are possible. So today, as you think of those in your life, is there anyone against whom you hold a grudge? Ask God to help you extend grace to them as He has to you.
Prayer: Dear Jesus, thank you for the mercies you extend to me each day! Could you help me to be more like you each day? Amen.
With Love,
Sherry Shepherd

Hello, I need to be reminded to be more forgiving of others, and to extend Grace to them, even though some have been abusive and were bullies.
Maybe they were unhappy people too, and needed a lot of prayers!
