If you have faith in me, you will do what I have been doing; even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.   

- John 14:12

Why does Jesus say that we will do even greater things than He? How is that possible?

He is Jesus! He overcame death, led countless multitudes to Himself, ministered to the hurting, and performed multiple miracles.

How could anything we do be greater than what Jesus has done?

Like some Scriptures, this may seem unclear or confusing. But what Jesus tells us is that while He accomplished much in His earthly ministry, the number of people who came to a saving faith while in His presence was small compared to how many will come and have come to know Him since His death and resurrection.

In addition, as a child of God, we are assured that absolutely nothing can separate us from Christ-- on earth or even in death.

As people who belong to Jesus, who have accepted His gift of salvation, we not only have the presence of the Holy Spirit with us, but we have the assurance of eternal life with our Savior.

Now that is love worth sharing!

Prayer: Thank you, Lord, that no matter what I face today, you are with me, and you love me. Thank you for making way for me to be your child. Please help me to be bold in sharing you with others. Amen.
