Everything is possible for you, who believes.
- Mark 9:23
God loves us so much that He would never force Himself on us.
He gently calls us to believe in Him. His desire is that we come to Him with child-like faith, believing that He will supply us with exactly what we need, when we need it.
Sometimes, children ask for things that are not good for them.
A loving parent may find themselves telling their child, “No,” or “Wait.”
Likewise, when we go to our Heavenly Father with our requests, He may say to us, “Not yet,” or even “No”, because He sees the whole picture and He knows what is best for us.
Other times, when we come to Him with the impossible, He may surprise us by making it completely possible and giving us the yes we so desire.
Today, as you seek God’s will for your life, and you bring your requests to Him, ask yourself, “Do I trust that God knows what is best for me?”

Prayer
Lord, You see the places where my faith feels strong—and the places where it struggles. Help me to trust You more, even when I don’t fully understand. Remind me that nothing is impossible for You, and that You are always at work, even when I can’t see it. Strengthen my belief, meet me in my doubts, and teach me to rest in Your power today. Amen.
Message from Kara, founder of Paper Sunday
This verse always challenges me in the best way. I’ve had moments where I’ve quietly placed limits on what I believe God can do—especially when something feels too far gone or too complicated. But Mark 9:23 reminds me that faith isn’t about having everything figured out—it’s about trusting the One who does. Even when my faith feels small, I’ve learned that God can still do so much with it. My hope is that this devotional encourages you to bring both your belief and your doubts to Him today.
