Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.

- Matthew 5:6

Think of the last time you had a craving for something delicious to eat.

Maybe it was a hot, gooey, chocolate brownie, or your favorite bowl of crispy tortilla chips and queso.

Did you think about it? Did your mouth water and your stomach growl?

Have you ever longed for or wanted something so bad you could taste it?

How about wanting a new job, a car, a house, or even a spouse.

However, when you got it, did you still feel an emptiness or hunger?

Those people, places, and things you think you want will only satisfy temporarily.

That is because we are all born with a God shaped hole that only He can fill.

When we put Him first in our lives, He gives us wholeness.

The more we love Him, the more we are able to love others and the void we feel becomes filled. The love and fulfillment that He gives us cannot be found in any person or anything.

Matthew 5:6 tells us that those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, will be filled. The more we seek to know God and become like Him, the more we will find ourselves completely satisfied.

TODAY: CRAVE GOD and be amazed at the peace and fulfillment you will find when you desire Him over anything else.
