The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning.
- Lamentations 3:22-23
Did you know that God is for you? He is!
The Bible is chock-full of God’s promises to you. We are told in these verses in Lamentations that God’s love never ceases. Can you imagine that? It never stops. His mercies for you never come to an end. They are new every single morning.
It reminds me of the ocean.
It builds up, crashes in waves, and gently bubbles at the shore, bringing up new shells and sea life. With each roll of the waves, new treasures are brought forth for beachgoers to find.
But, the ocean waves also bring up garbage that needs to be handled.
Isn’t God’s amazing love like this? It brings us so much joy and unseen beauty. But it also brings up sin and trash that we have in our lives that we need to address.
So today, whatever you woke up feeling, whether elated and joyful, focused, or weighed down by past sins, or mistakes, God is ready and waiting to renew your spirit and walk with you in your everyday life.
His forgiveness of your past sins is just like throwing away the garbage on the beach.
Once you ask for His forgiveness, He forgets your sin, just like trash in a waste bin. It’s gone. As you reflect on the state of your heart and mind, where do you find yourself?
Are you joyful, splashing in the ocean of His love?
Are you walking the beach and not letting the healing waters of God’s spirit touch you or your life?
Trust Him, and yield to His Word wherever you find yourself today. You will find Him waiting with open arms.
Prayer: Dear Jesus, thank you for reminding me today how your love is vaster than all the oceans in the world. Thank you that you cleanse my sins and wash them away and bring me healing and refreshment to my soul. Amen.
With Love,
Sherry Shepherd

You are so right. And He is amazing. His love and mercy is immeasurable and I’m so thankful for it. He shows us our errors that we may correct them with His help. Thank you for this word.
