As God’s children, saved by faith, we are new beings.
We are no longer confined to our old ways of sin.
Because we have God’s Holy Spirit living in us, we are dead to sin and free to live by grace.
We are new beings and our old and harmful ways of thinking and behaving should no longer be a part of our lives.
When we feel tempted to slip back into selfish habits and ways of coping, we must ask God for His help, to live in His will.
The more we lean on His Holy Spirit and ask Him to empower us, the more we can break the chains that keep us in sinful bondage.
