For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

What do you value in your life? What do you truly hold dear to your heart?

Fame, riches, status, power and popularity are all common things highly valued by society.

But, while those things are nice to have, they are temporary and fade with time.

It begs the question, what is truly valuable?

As followers of Christ, we should value the things He values. Things that are of God and add to His Kingdom.

Things like kindness, faithfulness, honesty, humility, gentleness, generosity, compassion, love, righteousness, obedience and boldness for His kingdom.

These are all things that last forever, even when we pass away from the earth.

The eternal and Godly things we value and take part in while we are here will build up His kingdom and point others to Him long after we are gone!

God is not impressed by the amount of likes on social media. God is not impressed with our status in this life… Popularity cannot compare or be equal to the value of righteous living for God. God is impressed by how we love people and point others to knowing Him.

God is pleased when we value the treasure of living our lives solely for Him and not for the world.

As you spend time with the Lord today, reflect on the things you hold valuable to your heart and ask yourself, “What do I treasure?”

“Lord, I want to value the things you value. Help me to evaluate what I treasure in my heart through your eyes!”
