Daily Devotional • Psalm 103:1-5

Praise the Lord, my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name. Praise the Lord, my soul and forget not all his benefits--who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.  - Psalm 103:1-5

- Psalm 103:1-5

Parents, teachers and anyone who spends times with younger children are aware of how easy it is to observe them without them realizing it.

There are so many times that I step into a space where my children are busy playing (or misbehaving) and observe them for quite a while before they ever realize I am there.

Some of my favorite moments are the ones when I can step in and help them – (just in time) - making them newly aware of my presence.

God does the same thing for us.

He is always present in our lives, but we so often forget that He is there, until He steps in to help us or save us.

In that moment we are so very aware of and grateful for His presence, but I’m certain He wants us to feel his presence every day, and I think a daily practice of praise is one of the keys to feeling His presence.

How has God made His presence known to you lately?

With Love,
Janay
