The Lord is near all who call out to Him, all who call out to Him with integrity.

Are you in a rut? Are there things you continue to struggle to overcome and handle in your life?

Spend time with God.

It sounds so simple. But God desires to hear from us and spend time with us. I have heard it said that Jesus is a gentleman. He won’t beat down your door. Instead, Scripture tells us that He stands at the door and knocks.

Life is hard. It is busy. There always seems to be more to do than time to do. However, many times, when I have chosen to put God first and spend time with Him, He has made a way where I didn’t see one.

As you draw near to God, He will draw near to you and help you become an effective witness for Him. The more like Christ we are, the more we desire integrity. Therefore, we need to know our Savior and what He expects of us so that we can imitate Him. If we want to see God move in our lives, it’s imperative to spend time with Him incorporating Him into our daily decisions.

Prayer: Dear Jesus, thank you for reminding me of the importance of spending time with you. Help me to remember to put you first each day. Bless my efforts and draw near to me. Amen.
