Romans 11:33 Devotional • Trusting God’s Wisdom

Who could ever wrap their minds around the riches of God, the depth of his wisdom, and the marvel of his perfect knowledge? Who could ever explain the wonder of his decisions or search out the mysterious way he carries out his plans?  -  Romans 11:33

Who could ever wrap their minds around the riches of God, the depth of his wisdom, and the marvel of his perfect knowledge? Who could ever explain the wonder of his decisions or search out the mysterious way he carries out his plans?

- Romans 11:33

Our God is a god of mystery.

Many times our human minds want to figure everything out and we end up becoming frustrated when we cannot understand His ways.

God is infinite and we are not. His ways are so far beyond our comprehension, so it is futile to try to shove God in our box of human knowledge.

Instead of asking, “why?” and “how?”, we can choose to simply trust in God.

There are times He will purposely keep things a mystery to us in order to keep us from relying solely on our own understanding and fall into a stupor of self-sufficiency.

Let us look to Him in child-like trust, knowing that He wants what is best for us. We can wonder in awe at His infinite and mysterious nature.

Whenever you feel worry creeping in or the need to understand what cannot be understood, remind yourself of God’s endless wisdom and perfect knowledge.

Rather than striving to wrap your mind around His mysteries, ask Him, “What do you want me to be doing right now?”.

Even though you will never fully understand His ways, thank Him for helping you to view situations and people the way He views them.

TODAY: When you invite Him into your perceptions, you will be able to walk in a divine peace and strength that does not require your human understanding.

With Love,
