God’s voice thunders in marvelous ways; He does great things beyond our understanding. He says to the snow, ‘fall on the earth’; and to the rain shower, ‘Be a mighty downpour.’
- Job 37:5-6
Have you ever watched a thunderstorm and felt the power of the wind on your face? The leaves and abandoned papers fly around like confetti as lightning cracks against the sky. Rain pours down, drenching everything outside. All your senses are heightened as you hear, see and feel the storms strength.
The Bible tells us that God’s very voice thunders like a storm. It is marvelous, and nothing can compare to His almighty power. Sometimes when we are going through difficulties, we forget that even though we may feel God is silent, He is not absent in our lives. His love and concern for us are ever-present.
Today, as you navigate the questions, troubles, or hurdles in front of you, remember the power of the storm. God controls, directs, and maintains His creation. While we may not understand Him or why certain things happen, we can trust that He is at work on our behalf. We are told in Job that God controls the snowfall and rain showers. If He can do that, then isn’t He able to handle your request today?
With Love,
