Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart.

Isn’t the steadfast love of the Lord amazing?

His compassions are new each day!

As you draw near to Jesus, He promises to give you the desires of your heart.

But, that does not mean He will grant your every wish like a genie in a bottle.

God does not operate that way. His ways are above our ways. Often, His desires for us may be quite different from what we feel we need.

God, in His infinite wisdom, knows all and sees all: past, present and future.

He is everywhere, at all times, every day.

His knowledge far supersedes anything we could ever think or imagine. And, His ultimate desire is that we know Him and serve Him.

And as we grow deeper in our relationship with Him, our ways are transformed and become aligned with His.

Today: As you mediate on God’s Word, ask Him to reveal one attribute about Himself to you. As you go throughout your day, thank Him for that attribute and ask Him to cultivate it within you!!
