As for God, His way is perfect; the word of the Lord proves true. He is a shield for all those who take refuge in Him.

Have you ever been in a tornado?

When the gale force winds blow and the rain comes down in sheets, it can be really scary.

For those in areas prone to tornados, they have underground storm shelters, which provide incredible protection. As the storm rages overhead, everyone is safe underground.

God tells us that no matter where we find ourselves, He is with us. He wants us to know that we can trust Him in the good days and the bad—in the storms and the sunshine.

He then goes on to tell us that He is our refuge and our shield. Whatever storm we may be facing we can curl up with Him and He will weather it with us.

It may blow and howl all around us, but we are safe with Him.

He tells us that if we take shelter in Him, we will ultimately be safe and secure.

As we draw near to Him in prayer and through His Word, He gives us comfort and guidance. He can and will protect us from the blows of this world, from our enemies, and from our circumstances.
