At last you have freedom for Christ has set you free! You must always cherish this truth and firmly refuse to go back into the bondage of your past.

- Galatians 5:1

Did you know you are completely free from your past?

Because of what Christ has done for you, He has totally broken off every chain and calls you to walk in a higher place before His throne.

Rejoice in this!

No longer are we ruled by our past or the shame that held us captive. We are all free to dance, sing, and laugh with the lover of our soul!

The Lord has swung wide open the door of freedom before you, beckoning you to come be with Him in eternal joy.

His presence and glory are readily available to us always, granting us free gifts of His love, joy, peace and strength.

As you dance with Him, watch the lies and condemnation that have held you back be revealed as mere accusations from the enemy. All the guilt and shame have been cast off into the sea of forgetfulness, never to be seen again.

Feel the rush of the Lord’s spirit-winds, spurring you on into your glorious future. Now is the time to walk in your true identity, as a true son or daughter of the Most High!

Once you’ve tasted the freedom of His love, you will never want to look back at your dead past.

Today, embrace the freedom God has purchased for you. Do not hesitate for another moment, and run passionately into the arms of your Father. He will be with you even until the end of all ages!

“Be free my child!”

With Love,
Sarah Sherstad

Freedom in Christ isn’t just a theological idea—it’s a truth meant to shape how we live every day.

When we pause to reflect on God’s Word, the Holy Spirit helps us recognize the places where old guilt, shame, or lies still try to hold us back. Journaling allows us to process these thoughts with God and intentionally step into the freedom He has already given us.

Take a few quiet minutes to reflect on the questions below and invite the Lord to renew your perspective.

• What “chains from the past” do you sometimes struggle to let go of? Write honestly about any guilt, regret, or identity labels that still try to define you.

• What does it mean to you that Christ has already set you free? How does this truth change the way you see yourself today?

• Where is God inviting you to walk more boldly in your identity as His child?

• Write a short prayer thanking God for the freedom you have through Jesus.

Prayer

Father,
Thank You for the freedom You purchased for me through Jesus. Help me release every burden from my past that tries to hold me back. Remind my heart that I am forgiven, loved, and fully accepted as Your child.

Teach me to walk confidently in the identity You have given me. Let Your Spirit guide my steps so that I live in the joy, peace, and freedom found in Your presence.

Today I choose to stand firm in the freedom You have given me.

In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
