Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.
- John 14:27
The peace God gives us is different than the peace the world is familiar with. The Lord’s peace is a supernatural peace that transcends our human understanding.
His peace is not dependent on circumstances or how well life is going.
We do not have to strive to earn this wonderful peace, because He has already given it to us! On the days we feel anxious and struggle to receive His peace, it’s most likely due to us doubting God’s promises to supply us with all we need.
One of the reasons God came into the world was to guide your feet into the way of peace.
Keep in mind there’s a difference between receiving His peace and maintaining it. How do we do this? By getting into His presence regularly.
The enemy of our soul is constantly trying to rob us of joy and peace, so it is vital we stay alert and put on the armor of God every day. Spending quality time with the Lord is the first step.
If you have been feeling anxious lately, take time today to soak in the Lord’s presence. Allow His perfect love to refresh you and revitalize your spirit, crushing every fear.
With Love,
