Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the LORD is good and his love endures forever, his faithfulness continues through all generations.
- Psalm 100:4-5
Having a thankful heart towards the Lord is vital in our relationship with Him. In general, those who are thankful are also happier people! Thankfulness helps us see things in a positive light and highlights blessings we may have otherwise missed.
When things like depression, sorrow and fear try to rear their ugly heads, disciplining ourselves to be thankful even amidst those feelings brings forth maturity and spiritual perseverance.
While the enemy tries to blind us to the blessings God has given us, choosing to have a thankful heart overflowing with gratitude regardless of how we feel in our human emotions will cause the devils plans to be thwarted!
Whenever you’re feeling down choose thanksgiving and praise to God instead.
The truth is, we always have an abundance to be thankful for, because God’s goodness and promises never change. His love endures forever!
Today, no matter how you’re feeling, take time to press into His presence and gates with thanksgiving and praise!
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank you for your abundant goodness and love that endures forever! You deserve my praise every day, no matter the circumstances. Help me to have a grateful heart day and night and never forget your promises to me.
With Love,

Sometimes gratitude feels easiest when life is going well. But Psalm 100 shows us something deeper: thanksgiving is not dependent on circumstances—it’s a posture of the heart. As you reflect today, slow down and notice where God’s goodness has quietly been present in your story. Let gratitude open your heart to Him.
Journal & Reflect
- What are three specific ways you’ve experienced God’s goodness recently—even in small moments?
- Where have you seen His faithfulness carry you through a difficult season?
- What would it look like to approach God with thanksgiving before bringing Him your requests?
- Write a prayer of gratitude for who God is—not just what He has done.

Message from Kara
Friend, I’ve noticed that some of the sweetest moments with God happen when I pause long enough to remember. Gratitude has a way of shifting my focus from what feels uncertain to what has always been true: God is good, and He is faithful. As you journal today, I hope you create space to notice the ways He’s been carrying you—even in the ordinary moments. With love, Kara
P.S. Sometimes the smallest answered prayer becomes the biggest reminder of God’s faithfulness later on. Write it down today—you’ll be glad you did.
