Owe no one anything, except to love each other, for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law.
- Romans 13:8
Can you think of the last time you tried to find the perfect gift for someone?
What about the last time someone gave you a special gift?
Maybe your child drew a picture to hang on your refrigerator.
Maybe a friend dropped off your favorite treat or coffee, or a loved one sent you flowers.
How did you feel when you received that gift? Most of the time, gifts cause us to feel special, loved, and valued.
In His great mercy, God gave us the greatest gift of all...His Son.
He loved us so much and He desired to show us that love by sending Christ to fulfill the debt we owed.
Because of His great gift, we will always be indebted to God.
We will never be able to repay Him for giving us eternal life.
But, God’s Word tells us that we can show appreciation for God’s gift by loving others.
Today: Ask God to show you who needs to see His love manifested through you.
P.S. Love when they least expect it and when they least deserve it!
With Love,
