Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.

The Bible is full of solutions to our everyday problems, and this verse is no exception.

This passage is loaded with wisdom.

To remain steadfast and immovable can seem like an oxymoron, but it’s genius.

To remain steadfast means that nothing can move us off our course.

The writer is encouraging us to stay focused and immovable in the work that God has called us to perform.

We know the enemy’s strategy is to distract us from our assignment and purpose. We must be immovable and steady when trials or tests try to stop our work.

And when we complete our task, God is not finished; we have a reward headed our way!

Our labor for the Lord is never in vain. Of course, the enemy will lie, rewards may be delayed…But God is faithful.
