If you lack wisdom, you should ask God who gives generously to all without finding fault, and It will be given to you.
- James 1:5
When we are struggling with a problem or when we are hurting, it is a natural response to ask God to remove the pain or heal us of the hurt. But, do you ever ask God for wisdom?
What is your response when God doesn’t answer your prayers the way you think He should?
Do you complain or become bitter and angry? Or, do you seek Him more?
Sometimes, God allows pain in our lives in order to mature our faith or even cause us to seek Him more.
When James tells us to seek wisdom, he means that we should not only have knowledge, but know how to apply that knowledge in difficult situations and decisions.
The trial you are going through now may be preparation for a future battle.
If God removes all pain from our lives, then we may not develop the skills and wisdom we need for the task that lies ahead.
Ask God for wisdom and thank Him for helping you.
