I will study your commandments and reflect on your ways, I will delight in your decrees and not forget your Word.
- Psalm 119:15-16
Did you know that this is the longest Psalm in the Bible?
Contained in it are two critical points.
First, it tells us that to delight in God's decrees; we must first know them. And the only way to fully know the Lord's decrees is to study His Word.
So often, in our busy world, we get distracted or give priority to everything else before God.
We check our social media, email, and voicemail.
We have hobbies and vacations and many other things to take our focus off Christ.
While these things aren’t inherently bad, we never want them to replace our time with Christ.
If we say we love daily time in God's Word, then shouldn't we want to spend time with God reading His Words? As we move through life, we need daily reminders of how we should live and serve God and others.
TODAY: Before you begin doing anything else, put God first. Ask Him to direct you and open your eyes to Him and what He wants to tell you in His Word. Grab your cup of coffee, your favorite journal, and your Bible. Dig in and read from God's living Word, asking Him to reveal Himself to you. Pray to Him, letting Him know of your requests, concerns, and worries. Write down any verse that stands out to you and think about it throughout the day.
Prayer: Thank you, God, for giving me your living, breathing Word. Thank you for directing me and giving me insight into how you think and feel about me. Please help me to focus on you and live for you.
With Love,
Sherry Shepherd

Message from Kara
Friend, I know how easy it is for quiet time to become rushed in the middle of busy schedules and distracted hearts. But some of the sweetest moments of faith happen when we simply slow down enough to sit with God’s Word and let it speak personally into our lives. My prayer is that today’s devotional encourages you to create small, intentional rhythms of time with Him — because even a few quiet moments in His presence can bring so much peace, clarity, and renewal. With love, Kara 🤍
