Fall is harvesting season. Farmers spend months preparing the soil, planting seeds, watering, tending, and waiting. Then eventually, the fruit appears. Harvest reminds us that growth takes time. We live in a world that wants everything immediately: instant answers, success, and transformation.
But God often works slowly. A seed doesn't become a harvest overnight. And neither does a life. The prayers you've been praying and the lessons you’ve been learning take time. So often, we see God developing character through the difficulties we face over time.
God sees the small acts of obedience and kindness no one noticed. The sacrifices that seemed insignificant are never insignificant to God. Sometimes, years later, we look back and realize those small seeds became something much bigger.
Psalms tell us that we will reap if we don't give up. So, keep planting, praying, serving, and loving. The Psalmist writes that God’s values are vital to our lives. His values bring us inner peace. It is in and through Him that true growth happens.
You may not see the harvest today. But God is faithful with the seed. He tells us that as we obey Him and follow closely after His ways, our lives will be more peaceful. He doesn’t give us His precepts and ways to keep us from having fun or to add more to do, but to protect and guide our lives.

Prayer: Jesus, help me be faithful in the planting seasons of my life. When I can't see results, remind me that You are still working. Give me patience to wait for Your harvest and faith to keep planting. Amen.

I know how hard it can be to keep showing up when you can’t yet see the fruit of your faithfulness. There are so many seasons when we pour ourselves out, do the work, pray the prayers, and wonder if any of it is making a difference. If that’s where you are right now, I want you to know you are not alone.
I’ve had seasons where I wanted quick answers and visible results, but God kept inviting me into patience, trust, and quiet obedience. And while that waiting has not always been easy, I can say with confidence that God has never wasted a single season. He sees the seeds you’ve planted. He knows the work you’ve done in love. And He is faithful to bring a harvest in His perfect time.
