Daily Devotional • Psalm 143:10

Teach me to do your will, for you are my God. May your gracious Spirit lead me forward on a firm footing. For the glory of your name, O Lord, preserve my life. Because of your faithfulness bring me out of this distress.

Lord, I am struggling.

I am hurting so much that every part of my being calls out for relief.

My bones ache, and my mind won’t rest. It replays every moment of past hurt, longing for a different outcome.

I am at a loss as to how to proceed through the next minute, much less the day.

Please wrap your loving arms around me. Sooth the distress within. Pour forth your healing hope and love on my heart, mind, and body.

Please bring me hope and comfort the pain within. I ask for your peace. Please guide my thoughts so that they do not continue to ruminate on my pain.

Please guide me, my steps, and let my thoughts be steeped in your truth.

Banish my anxiety, quell the storm, and give me a calm heart.

As David cried out to you in the Psalms, so do I, Lord.

Guide my actions, words, and my spirit to reflect You. Thank you for reminding me that every action carries eternal significance. Allow me to keep that at the forefront of my mind to honor you in all I do and say today. Amen.

Prayer: I ask God for your help. Please increase my trust in You to guide me and give me the hope I need to face the day. Help me stand firm in your unchanging love. With each breath I take, remind me that You walk beside me. Amen.
