Praise the Lord; praise God our Savior! For each day he carries us in his arms. Our God is a God who saves! The Sovereign Lord rescues us from death.
- Psalm 68:19
Recently, my grandson was stung twice by a wasp.
At two and a half years old, this was one of the first times he realized that things in the world could cause hurt and pain.
Immediately, he cried out for his daddy, who swooped him up, wiped his tears, and acknowledged the pain.
Then the two went inside, and with his mom's help, they removed the stingers and put soothing ointment on them.
It made me think of how often we are stung by life. We experience disappointments, heartaches, and unexpected bad news.
But, like my little grandson, I am reminded that I am God's child and should run to Him with my aches and pains. He wants to comfort me in my grief, hear my heartaches, wipe my tears, and comfort me in His arms.
Not only does Christ reach out and comfort me, but He also carries me. And He desires to carry you too. He promises that He will be with us when we run to Him in our discomfort, grief, illness, and loss. He will save us and rescue us.
Prayer: Lord, please wrap me in your arms of comfort. Be real to me today; carry me in your loving arms. Amen.
With Love,
Sherry Shepherd

Message from Kara
One of the things I love most about Psalm 68:19 is that it reminds us God's care isn't reserved for life's biggest moments. His faithfulness shows up every single day. Sometimes I get so focused on what's still unresolved that I forget to notice all the ways God is already providing, strengthening, and carrying me. This verse gently redirects my heart toward gratitude and trust. If today feels heavy, remember that you don't have to carry everything on your own. God sees every concern, every responsibility, and every burden. He is faithful to meet you with fresh grace for today. Praying you'll experience His peace and provision in a very personal way today. With love, Kara
